Welcome to our Parish Website!

There are two churches, which belong to our Parish: St Lawrence & Mary Immaculate in Balcatta and St Theresa in Gwelup (with Mt La Verna Retirement Village). There is also St Lawrence School in Balcatta. For children who do not attend a Catholic school, we offer a comprehensive Religious Education Program afterschool. Incorporated into this program are the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. We are one, huge Christian Family!

This site was created not only for the benefit of our parishioners but also for anyone who would be interested in our activities. If you would like to become a catholic or renew your catholic faith, we would love to hear from you ASAP! You are ALWAYS welcome in our community! You can even become a member of one of many groups existing in our parish or you can simply choose to be part of the parish as whole.
Jesus saved us as a community and He wants us to worship Him as a community (not only as individuals). So, come and see, experience God’s mercy, compassion and Christian love among us!

there men will weep and gnash their teeth.'   stone"" ""From the first centuries of the Church, men and women have felt called to imitate the Incarnate Word who took on the condition of a servant. They have sought to follow Him by living in a particularly radical way, through monastic profession, the demands flowing from baptismal participation in the Paschal Mystery of His Death and Resurrection." ANZAC CENTENARY - 25 April 2015 Print

PRAYER FOR ANZAC CENTENARY

Gracious and loving God, as we mark the ANZAC Centenary, we remember all who lost their lives through Australia's involvement in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. On ANZAC Day, we especially remember the courageous actions undertaken by the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps during the First World War. On this national day of commemoration, we pray for the airmen, sailors and soldiers who died in battle, sacrificing their lives while on duty. We commemorate their bravery and pray for the families who lost loved ones. As we strive for peace in our country and world, help us to become instruments of your peace. We ask this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Divine Mercy Sunday - 12 April Print

Jesus said to St Sister Faustina, "…tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon the souls who approach the Fount of My Mercy. On that day all the divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet.... Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy". (Diary 699)

Our Lord said "When you go to confession, to this fountain of My mercy, the Blood and Water which came forth from My Heart always flows down upon your soul…" and "Every time you go to confession, immerse yourself entirely in My mercy with great trust, so that I may pour the bounty of My grace upon your soul. When you approach the confessional, know this, that I Myself am waiting there for you. I am only hidden by the priest, but I Myself act in your soul. Here the misery of the soul meets the God of mercy" (1602) Make your confession before Me. The person of the priest is… only a screen. Never analyze what sort of a priest that I am making use of; open your soul in confession to Me, and I will fill it with My light." (1725)

We will say the Chaplet before Italian Mass at 10am and after 5.30pm Mass during Healing Hour. There will be an opportunity for Reconciliation as well.

HAPPY EASTER!!! Print

Dear Parishioners and Visitors, may the ‘Alleluia’ verse sung in Christian churches around the world become your heart’s song. May the Holy Spirit help you to extend the Easter experience to all the days of the year and may the joy of the Lord’s resurrection become a part of your lives.

Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter!
